Year end without the scramble.

Annual accounts without the year-end scramble

We prepare annual accounts, explain the result and keep the Companies House and tax timetable organised. Compliance is handled properly, but the conversation does not end with a submission receipt.

Why it matters

Useful work starts with reliable information.

Leaving everything until year end creates avoidable questions, rushed corrections and tax surprises. Good annual accounts start with clean records and a clear timetable long before the filing deadline.

How Wet Floor approaches annual accounts

We map the year-end requirements early, resolve bookkeeping issues before they compound and explain the finished accounts in practical terms. Compliance is handled properly, but the conversation does not stop at filing.

Every engagement is scoped around the actual records, deadlines and level of support required. The tailored assessment helps us understand that before a discovery call.

What good looks like

Three deadlines, not one

A private company usually files Companies House accounts nine months after year end, pays Corporation Tax nine months and one day after its accounting period, and files the Company Tax Return within 12 months. First accounts and unusual periods can follow different rules.

What the figures tell you

Year-end work confirms profit, assets, liabilities and the position between the company and its owners. We talk through the movements that matter, any bookkeeping changes made and the records that should improve before the next close.

The practical result

What better annual accounts should change.

01

Statutory accounts prepared to an agreed timetable

02

A clear understanding of the year’s result

03

Fewer last-minute document requests

04

A stronger starting point for the next financial year

Common questions

Before you ask for a quote.

Clear starting points. The final answer still depends on the records and circumstances.

When are private company accounts due?+

Existing private companies normally have nine months after the financial year ends to file with Companies House. First accounts and shortened periods can have different deadlines.

Are annual accounts the same as a Company Tax Return?+

No. The figures support the tax calculation, but Companies House accounts and the Company Tax Return are separate submissions with different deadlines.
